Welcome to issue 23 of 🔥 Lit Design! I stumble upon a bunch of new products and services every day, i’m curating the best of the past week every Monday. Enjoy!
Interesting Apps and Services
Station - Station is the first smart browser for busy people. A single place for all of your web applications. With integrations to more than 670 applications - you can organise your station to suit your workflows - rather than switching between multiple apps and tabs constantly.
Toby - Bookmarks are for books, not browsers. Organize your browser tabs into Toby so you can access key resources in one click instead of seven. Nice intro video on their website as well. Similar to Workona which I had shared earlier.
You can also check out Clutter Free - If you overload on tabs on chrome this extension might save you – prevent duplicate tabs, quickly search & switch tabs, and more.
F5Bot - F5Bot is a free service that emails you when your selected keywords are mentioned on Reddit, Hacker News, or Lobsters. Use it to monitor your brand, your projects, or just topics that you're interested in.

Intellectual Compounding - by Sizhao Yang
There's a concept known as financial compounding, but most people don't know about intellectual compounding. Buffett and Munger employed this to great effect and to accumulate mental models such that they can make large decisions quickly. Intuition is simply reading a lot. Great Twitter thread!
The Slack Social Network - by Ben Thompson
Great breakdown on Slack’s shift into being an enterprise social network
The Guide to Unbundling Reddit - by Gary Isenberg
Every few years a great unbundling occurs. In 2010, Andrew Parker wrote a defining post about the "unbundling" of Craigslist where he outlined the opportunity to carve out niche products from broad horizontal networks like Craigslist. The broad networks are everything to everyone, the niche ones are something special to a certain group. If you add up the value creation of the vertical companies (ie: Airbnb, Zillow, Stubhub, Etsy etc) it is greater than the sum of its parts (i.e: Craigslist). It turns out going vertical, is pretty profitable.
